⚠️ E4 Product Safety Notice – IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED

A very small number of units have been reported with overheating issues linked to a defective compressor starter relay, a part supplied by one of our subcontracted manufacturers.

Although this issue is limited, the safety of your customers and the confidence of our distribution partners remain our highest priority. Since, in an extreme case, this issue can pose a fire risk, we are instructing all our users and distributors as follows.

  1. E4 dispensers should immediately be switched off, pending implementation of the swift interim resolution addressed below.
  2. In the event that users are not willing to keep their E4 dispensers switched off in the interim (which we do not advise), users should, in any event, ensure that the dispensers are switched off when their locations are unoccupied (e.g. overnight or at weekends).
  3. Technicians should promptly be dispatched by distributors to their customer locations to disable the compressor as outlined in the instructions in Step 3 - Next steps Video.
  4. E4 Dispensers can thereafter be used safely (providing hot and ambient filtered water) pending a full replacement of the compressor starter relay switch, which will be provided by us in the coming weeks to restore full functionality to the E4 units.

Borg & Overström stands fully behind you and your customers.

We have taken proactive steps to safeguard your customers and provide you with the necessary tools to manage the situation with confidence. At Borg & Overström, we take great pride in the reliability of our products and place the highest importance on safety, operating in full compliance with UK and European safety regulations.
